Today in 英会話京都アメリカンクラブ we were preparing some students to get a good score in the next TOEIC’s test. Last 2011 the number of applicants in Japan for the TOEIC test, which measures English language skills necessary for international business, increased by about 30 percent to 2.27 million from the previous year. Looks like English finally became a requisite sine qua non to get a good job here in Japan. So, 頑張ろう!

Cherry Blossoms in 京都。

Posted by AmericanClub - 4月 14th, 2012

今週は英会話京都アメリカンクラブで花見についてレッスンで話してました。 The cherry blossom season is finishing in 京都 and you still having a chance to enjoy the beauty of or city. In 京都 there are very famous places all around the city, maybe the most popular are The Philosophy Path, or around Okazaki and of course the most crowned  Maruyama’s Park in the East part of the city. In the down town we can enjoy the river Kamogawa, my favourite place not only because is big and is free, but also because you can enjoy the blossoms as you were in the country side. Kamogawa is the “path” which join 京都 with the natural environment.
Going to the north we have Hirano’s shrine and all the zone around Ginkakuji and Arashiyama. So, you have a lot of places to enjoy a “hanami” here in 京都。 Which is your favourite one?
